The pram is an object that evokes an instinct of protectiveness and nurturing, emotions that can feel unfamiliar when associated with fish. The idea came from the stark difference in our ability to feel empathy for different types of animals. The fish series and caretaker are investigations into the limits humans have for forming conections.
